To Define Cable UDAs

The UDA Settings > Cable UDAs section of the Options dialog lets you define UDAs (User Defined Attributes) for cable in the active project.
  1. Open the Options dialog and click the UDA Settings > Cable UDAs tab.
  2. Click Add.
    Note: By default the level name will be CableUDA1, CableUDA 2 etc.
  3. Enter a new Name for the UDA.
  4. Expand the arrow under the Name field to display the UDA properties.
  5. Define values for the following attribute properties:
    • Mandatory
    • Default value
    • Length
    • Include in Cable Manager
    • Include in Cable Manager (Conceptual Design)
    • Include in Status Manager
    Note: Refer to the Cable UDAs help for detailed information on the UDA properties.
  6. Once the properties have been defined, click Apply to save the attribute.
  7. Continue to define new attributes, or, if finished in the Options dialog, click OK to close.
